Indian Railways Introduces Special Trains for Diwali and Chhath Puja to Meet Holiday Demand

As the festive season approaches, the Indian Railways has taken steps to accommodate the surge in passenger travel for Diwali and Chhath Puja. With a special focus on easing travel to high-demand destinations, the Eastern Railways has introduced 50 special trains along with 400 additional services that will run between October 30 and November 6.

This initiative aims to manage the increased demand from travelers journeying home to celebrate these auspicious festivals with their families. The special trains will be operational on busy routes covering popular destinations in the eastern and northern parts of India, offering a smoother and more accessible travel experience.

Key highlights of this special service rollout include:
