Following recent attacks on Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) staff,



Karnataka Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy has requested strict action from Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda after a rise in attacks on BMTC staff. The latest incident involved BMTC driver Gagan and conductor Shivakumar, who were assaulted at a routine stop by two bikers. The bikers allegedly forced their way into the bus, attacked Gagan, and assaulted Shivakumar when he tried to help. This situation has prompted calls for stronger protections and immediate police intervention to ensure staff safety.
